city of the XI th century. Its name comes from chalky flat stones
( "lauze") used for roofs . It is to be found there an ancient priory
depending on Carluc to the Xith century. It depended on the Abbey of Cruis and
then to the abbey of Montmajour. The main lords were those of Reillanne ( XIV
th to XVII th centuries) .
There were 2O7 inhabitants in 1851.
