A medieval village with "calades"(streets covered with stones)
Famous for the discovery of a statue : the Gallic warrior preserved in the Calvet Museum in Avignon. Fortified in the XIII th century.
The church ( Notre Dame De Bellevue) was known to be a miraculous one.
The seignory was divided between several lords.the major ones were Vachères 13 ° and 18°, Meyran 16° and 17°, Bermond 17 and 18 °
On the site called the plateau of the mills occupied in the Palaeolithic era and in the Neolithic era and later in the bronze era Remains of the old medieval castle and ancient walls "campanile"( a sort of tower with bells) on the "tour de l'horloge (a clock)" erected in the XV th century
